GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (2025–2027)
Start Date: 24 January 2025
Duration: 24 months

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is offering opportunities to unemployed South African university graduates who have not previously gained work experience in fields related to their qualifications.


Key Details

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be South African youth between the ages of 18 and 35 at the start date of the program.
  • Non-RSA citizens or permanent residents must attach a valid Permanent Resident Permit.
  • If in possession of a foreign qualification, an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must be provided (only upon being shortlisted).
  • Applicants must provide an affidavit confirming they have not participated in a similar program before.

Application Process:

  • Forms Required: Applications must be submitted using the new Z83 form, available at any Public Service Department or online at www.gov.za/documents. Applications using the incorrect Z83 form (old format) will not be considered.
  • Documentation:
    • Fully completed, signed, and initialed Z83 form (Sections A, B, C, and D are compulsory; Sections E, F, and G are optional if a CV is attached).
    • A recently updated, comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
    • Note: Copies of qualifications and other relevant documents are not required during application but will be requested from shortlisted candidates.

Submission Instructions:

  • Applications must quote the correct reference number and be sent to the respective province of residence using the specified addresses in the job posting.

Important Notes:

  • Failure to sign or fully complete the Z83 form may result in disqualification.
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you have not been contacted within three (3) weeks of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
  • Shortlisted candidates will need to provide the required supporting documents before the interview date.
