Little Bear’s Sleepy Cave
Once upon a time, in a quiet forest filled with tall, whispering trees, there lived a little brown bear named Benny. Benny had the softest, fluffiest fur and the tiniest pink nose that would twitch when he smelled something yummy.
As the sun began to set behind the mountains, painting the sky in pretty colors of pink and orange, Benny felt his eyelids getting heavy. He rubbed his sleepy eyes with his little paws and gave a big yawn. “Ahhhh,” he yawned, so wide that a butterfly could have flown right through!
Benny’s mama called from their cozy cave, “Time for bed, little one! Come snuggle up in your sleepy cave.”
Benny waddled slowly to his cave, his paws making soft padding sounds on the forest floor. Inside, his mama had made the most wonderful bed of soft moss and fluffy leaves. It smelled like sweet flowers and warm sunshine.
“But Mama,” said Benny, “I’m not sleepy yet.” Even though his eyes were drooping and he couldn’t stop yawning.
Mama Bear smiled and tucked Benny into his leafy bed. “Let’s count some sleepy things,” she whispered gently. “One sleepy owl hooting in the tree. Two sleepy rabbits hopping to their burrow. Three sleepy fireflies blinking their tiny lights.”
As Mama counted, Benny’s breathing became slower and deeper. The cave felt so warm and safe, like the biggest, gentlest hug in the whole wide world.
“Four sleepy stars twinkling in the sky,” Mama continued softly. “Five sleepy crickets singing their lullaby.”
Benny’s eyes fluttered closed. He could hear the gentle wind whispering through the trees, like nature’s own soft lullaby. His little bear heart beat slowly and peacefully.
“Sweet dreams, my little bear,” Mama whispered, giving him the gentlest kiss on his fuzzy forehead. “Your sleepy cave will keep you safe and warm all night long.”
And with that, Little Bear Benny drifted off to the land of dreams, where he danced with friendly butterflies and played with bouncing bunnies until morning came again.
The end.
Sleep tight, little one. May your dreams be as cozy as Little Bear’s cave.
