The Snoring Bear Family
In a cozy cave high up on a sleepy mountain, there lived the Bear family. There was Papa Bear with his big, fluffy tummy. There was Mama Bear with her soft, warm paws. And there was Baby Bear with the tiniest pink nose that wiggled when he breathed.
Every night, when the moon painted silver patches on their cave walls, the Bear family would snuggle into their pile of the softest leaves and moss.
Papa Bear would stretch his big arms wide and yawn. “Ahhhh,” he would sigh. Then he would close his eyes and soon… “SNORE, SNORE, SNOOOOORE!” Papa Bear’s snores were as deep and rumbly as distant thunder.
Mama Bear would curl up next to Papa Bear and close her sleepy eyes. Soon… “snore, snore, snore” came her gentle snores, soft like rain pattering on leaves.
But Baby Bear? Baby Bear was still wide awake. He looked at Papa Bear. He looked at Mama Bear. He listened to their sleepy sounds.
“SNORE, SNORE, SNOOOOORE!” rumbled Papa Bear. “snore, snore, snore,” whispered Mama Bear.
Baby Bear tried to snore too. He puffed up his little chest and made a tiny sound: “sniff, sniff, sniff.”
That wasn’t quite right.
Baby Bear tried again. He wrinkled his small nose and breathed deeply: “huff, huff, huff.”
Still not quite like Mama and Papa.
The little bear looked around the moonlit cave. Maybe he needed to be more comfortable to make proper snoring sounds like his family.
Baby Bear fluffed up his leaf pillow. He pulled a soft piece of moss over his little paws. He wiggled and squirmed until he found the perfect cozy spot right between Mama Bear and Papa Bear.
Baby Bear took a deep breath. The cave smelled like pine trees and honey. He felt Mama Bear’s warm fur against one side and Papa Bear’s gentle breathing against the other side.
Baby Bear’s eyes grew heavy. His tiny eyelids began to flutter. The rumbly sounds of his family felt like a lullaby wrapping around him like the softest blanket.
Soon, Baby Bear’s breathing grew slow and peaceful. His little chest rose and fell, rose and fell. And then…
“snuffle, snuffle, snuffle” came the sweetest, softest little snores you ever did hear.
Now all three bears were snoring together in their cozy cave:
Papa Bear: “SNORE, SNORE, SNOOOOORE!” Mama Bear: “snore, snore, snore” Baby Bear: “snuffle, snuffle, snuffle”
The sounds mixed together like a sleepy song that echoed gently through their mountain home. Outside, the stars twinkled and the wind whispered through the pine trees, adding its own quiet music to the Bear family’s peaceful snoring symphony.
And in that warm, safe cave, surrounded by love and gentle sounds, the whole Bear family slept soundly until morning, when the sun would peek over the mountain and wake them for a new day of adventures.
But for now, it was time for dreams.
The End.
