REQUIREMENTS:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Recognized National Diploma (NQF 6) in Office Management and Technology, Public Management, or related qualification.
- A postgraduate qualification in the relevant field/s will be an advantage.
- Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in strategic planning and administration environment.
- Advanced experience in policy development and implementation strategies.
- Practical experience in Office Management and Technology or Public Management.
- Knowledge of Public Service legislation, policies, and the PSET framework.
- Understanding of TVET/CET Administration and the Higher Education sector.
- Corporate governance knowledge.
- Proficiency in budgetary, expenditure, and cash flow management.
- Familiarity with the Employment Equity Act, Public Service Regulations, Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act, and related legislation.
DUTIES:
- Render administrative and executive support services in the office of the Principal.
- Provide secretarial support to the College Council, Council Committees, Academic Board, Senior Management, and external stakeholders.
- Deliver strategic management, monitoring, and evaluation services.
- Oversee and maintain logistics within the Principal’s office.
- Arrange meetings for sub-committees, Council, EXCO, and other stakeholders.
- Organize Academic Board and Academic Board Committee meetings.
- Coordinate and support training interventions.
- Manage logistics for college-hosted functions, including décor layout, food service, invitations, and media protocol.
- Maintain stock of standard forms and stationery.
- Develop agendas and write minutes for college meetings and forums.
- Ensure records management.
- Manage all human, financial, and other resources of the unit.
- Supervise staff and ensure performance agreements are completed.
