REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Qualification:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or a relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of experience in stakeholder relations/partnerships, of which 3 years must be at the management/supervisory level (ASD).
    • Understanding of stakeholder management, Public Participation Framework, government policies, policy implementation, and evaluation processes.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Advanced report writing, policy presentation, and protocol skills.
    • Good governance, Batho Pele Principles, Public Service Regulations, and Public Finance Management Act.
    • Computer literacy, communication (verbal & written), and project management skills.
    • Planning and organizing, team leadership, event management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Applied strategic thinking, networking, and building relationships.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Driver’s License.

DUTIES

  • Manage and facilitate Civil Society Partnerships, including the development and management of related policies and procedure manuals.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain Civil Society Partnerships programs.
  • Identify role players to support crime prevention initiatives.
  • Research and analyze crime prevention initiatives.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and guidelines for Civil Society Partnerships.
  • Create, manage, and continuously update the database of stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate Civil Society Partnerships’ crime prevention initiatives.
  • Develop concept notes and write reports and presentations for stakeholder engagements.
  • Facilitate the development of civil society partners and manage the signing of working agreements or MOUs.
  • Provide inputs for conducting needs analyses using appropriate tools.
  • Identify relevant initiatives to support crime prevention.
  • Manage Civil Society Partnerships stakeholder engagements and initiatives.
  • Oversee resources, including human and financial resources, for the Sub-Directorate.
