Job Purpose
The Fleet Controller will handle administrative tasks, supervise and control driver activities, and ensure efficient fleet management. The role involves real-time monitoring of vehicle movements, addressing operational challenges, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Previous administration experience in a similar environment.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and data capturing.
Personal Attributes:
- Reliable and assertive.
- Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
- Prepared to work shifts as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Handle and maintain administrative tasks effectively.
- Capture and manage breakdown data and fleet activity records.
- Driver Supervision and Support:
- Supervise and control driver activities.
- Assist drivers with operational problems and ensure smooth communication.
- Fleet Monitoring:
- Track and monitor truck movements and utilization.
- Ensure timely resolution of vehicle or operational issues.
- Customer and Factory Liaison:
- Address and resolve customer-related issues.
- Communicate factory challenges and updates to customers.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Facilitate additional orders as required.
- Support in improving overall fleet utilization and performance.
