Job Overview
Lancet Laboratories seeks a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Banking Supervisor Cash Office. The role is based in Richmond – Auckland Park and is responsible for overseeing all duties related to the cash office, document storage, ordering, and issuing of cashiering stationery and consumables.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
- 3-Year Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Business Management.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Team Leader/Supervisory experience is required.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with healthcare billing procedures, documentation, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor staff to develop required skills and achieve performance objectives.
- Draft and issue internal working instructions, ensuring adherence.
- Monitor staff leave, time, and attendance to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Oversee work allocation, turnaround times (TAT), and escalated queries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Conducted month-end procedures, collated reports for management, and assisted with ad hoc duties or special projects.
- Support Lancet Depots in adhering to cashiering protocols and assist with new acquisitions.
- Supervise cashiering reconciliation, manual receipts, cash-logged accounts, drawer access, and audit cashiering stationery to mitigate cash losses, risk, and misappropriation.
- Report any misappropriation to the internal audit and risk department as per the SOP within the prescribed period.
- Verify cashiering processes for internal and external audits to minimize findings.
- Oversee the collection and processing of banking from Lancet Sites to ensure timely deposits.
- Supervise the Accounts Receivable storeroom and document storage, ensuring ISO compliance and retrievability.
- Manage stock-related processes (e.g., levels, ordering, variances) for the cashiering warehouse as per policies and SOPs.
- Oversee processing of patient refunds and payments.
