Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- BSc Honours in Physics (NQF Level 8) with 480 credits.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of completed prescribed training in a relevant field.
Professional Registration:
- Must be registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a Certificated Natural Scientist.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical reviews and investigations; compile reports and correspond with regulatory authorities regarding Emergency Preparedness and Response.
- Develop and implement technical aspects of Emergency Preparedness and Response plans and procedures, including radiological hazard assessments, protective measures, emergency exercises, and procedure reviews.
- Manage emergency equipment and facilities; train emergency response staff.
- Monitor and analyze core parameters and apply neutronic codes.
- Calculate cycle-specific parameters and support the Operating department.
- Perform outage-specific nuclear fuel activities.
