About the Role

Eskom is seeking a Senior Advisor in Quantity Surveying to provide expert advisory and support services. This includes contract collation, costing, payment certification, evaluation, and dispute resolution to meet a central database’s contract management services needs.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • B-Degree/B-Tech in Built Environment, Commerce, or Human Science at NQF Level 7 with 360 credits.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert quantity surveying services across the project lifecycle.
  2. Draft cost estimates for capital investment projects.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of consultants, contractors, and suppliers regarding quantity and cost.
  4. Draft, review, measure, and control the effectiveness of inquiry documentation.
  5. Reconcile and forecast expenditures for projects.
  6. Mentor and coach quantity surveying personnel.
  7. Ensure compliance with Eskom governance, safety, health, environment, risk, and quality standards.
